This year’s conference will be an outdoor program that boasts a large main tent with tables and chair seating, a business tent, and a "How To" practice-tips tent where you will hear from financial and economic advisers. The “How To” tent will also be home to our "Meet the Lenders" event, with noted bankers, insurers, venture capitalists and investors. Other on-ground venues will include a beer garden, sports tent, Stars and Stripes Arcade, and refreshment centers. There will also be an outdoor theater and other venues providing entertainment throughout the day.
7:00am: Join us as our gates open. Enjoy complimentary continental breakfast
and musical entertainment as you enter the outdoor theater.
8:00-9:15am: Opening speakers and entertainment.
9:30am-6:00pm: Main tent program, concluding with our Special Surprise Guest. Complimentary refreshments and drinks all day, with lunch included as part of the
ticket price.
7:00pm: Business Conference main event gates close.
7:00-10:00pm: Specially ticketed extended Business Conference continues, including picnic, music, entertainment and dancing for those who wish to extend their experience.
We have arranged to present over 40 nationally recognized speakers and entertainers, and will be announcing the entire line-up within the coming weeks. The speakers are carefully scheduled to ensure that if a speaker in the main tent holds a business or political viewpoint other than your choosing, an opposing point of view will be available for you at the same time at another venue. There will always be sufficient time to return to the main tent for the next speaker.
There will also be book signings, meet and greet sessions, practical workshops, and venues showcasing the best of our community. We are also attempting to have at least one segment of the day’s program broadcast nationally.
It is our hope that the Bakersfield Business Conference helps boost our community

The Business Conference Will Return to California State University, Bakersfield in 2010
Conference organizers announced today that they will be returning to the California State University, Bakersfield campus for the 2010 25th anniversy "special encore" presentation of the Bakersfield Business Conference.
Conference founder and organizer George F. Martin said:
"Over the last few months, we have received numerous requests to move the 25th Anniversary Conference to Cal State University, Bakersfield, which was the Conference site for more than a decade. In fact, the input in favor of a return to the campus from our past attendees was almost universal. So we will once again be building our patriotic tent city on the soccer fields of CSUB!”
