Immortalized in last year's blockbuster motion picture Black Hawk Down, Master Sergeant Matthew Eversman is an American military hero whose drive to continue serving his country has never been dampened.
Best known for the heroic action of his group of elite U.S. soldiers stranded in hostile Mogadishu, Somalia in 1993 during a U.N. peacekeeping operation, Eversman brings to life the horrors of his experience, what he took from it, and humanizes the creed by which he lived: "Never shall I fail my comrades … RANGERS LEAD THE WAY!"
Eversman is a highly decorated United States Army officer and has taught at numerous military schools and lectured throughout the world regarding his experience in Somalia.
