As the founder of Pioneer Strategies, Heather Nauert provides political and strategic advice to corporate and grassroots clients. Utilizing her expertise in health care, Social security, pension and small business issues, she has written opinion pieces for the Chicago Tribune, San Francisco Chronicle, Philadelphia Inquirer, and Investor's Business Daily. In June, U.S. 1998, then U.S. House Speaker, Newt Gingrich, appointed Ms. Nauert to the White House Conference on Retirement Savings.
Ms. Nauert is the former Director of Government Affairs for Pioneer Financial Services, a Chicago-based health care company. She formulated and coordinated legislative strategy while serving as company spokeswoman on insurance, health and financial service issues.
Prior to that, she established and led a national health care coalition, Americans for Freedom of Choice in Healthcare. While there she orchestrated a media and legislative campaign on health care reform.
Ms. Nauert's media experience stems from her former position as a Washington, D.C. television host/producer, business reporter for a nationally syndicated television program and most recently, as a guest on "MSNBC" and "Fox News." She began as the host of "Young Country," a country music television show on Washington, D.C.'s VIM-TV and its Boston sister station.
